Itinerary Suggestion
See what your week could look like with our itinerary suggestion. It uses our Free Active Pack with some extra activities thrown in. The days are not fixed, so you can move things around.
Day 1
AM – Paddleboarding on the lake (Included*)
Head over to the lake in central Tignes for a session of Stand Up Paddleboarding. The soulful art of walking on water! It’s a few minutes walk or a quick cycle from our hotel. You get a free session with our Activity Pass. Ages 4+
PM – Acroland: For the Giant Slide (Included*)
Try the Giant Water Slide and the Hot Jump at Acroland, on the lake. You get two go’s at this amazing activity which hurls you into the lake. Wetsuits included. Immense fun! Age 12+
Day 2
AM – Go Mountain biking! (Included*)
Grab a bike from our racks and go for a cycle around the lake; or use your free lift pass and head up the chairlift to ride one of the ‘easy-cruising’ high mountain routes. For more serious downhill, we recommend renting a full-suspension bike.
PM – Lakeside walk and activities (Included*)
Relax and go for a walk around the lake. Stop at the lakeside cafes or go wild swimming along the way. There’s plenty for kids and adults to do around the lake: trampolines, play parks and wacky activities like water balling.
Day 3
AM – High Altitude walk or hike (Included*)
Go for a high altitude walk using your free lift pass and catch a gondola to reach a high vantage point for lunch and stunning views.
PM - Kayaking on the lake (Included*)
Head back down to the lake for a session of kayaking and explore this beautiful place in your own little boat. 1 or 2 man kayaks available. You get a free session with our Activity Pass. Ages 4+
Day 4
AM – Summer Ski & board) (Lift pass €29
Take advantage of the best ski-able glacier in Europe and go skiing or snowboarding. You even get powder snow in July! There’s around 25 Km’s of piste and liftpasses start at £25. Ski / board rental is available in-resort. Glacier opens from 8am to 2pm. Lessons can be arranged.
PM - The Lagoon Centre (Included*)
Now relax at the Lagoon leisure centre, you’ve earned it! Enjoy your free access to this great pool with a kid’s area, chutes, slides and waves. Also try the Wellness suite for sauna and jacuzzi which may require a small fee.
Day 5
AM - Glacier Walk (Funicular railway: €12)
Take the funicular train which runs through the mountain and up to the glacier (approx €12) and go for a walk along the snow, experience amazing views before coffee or lunch at the fantastic Panoramic restaurant at 3000m.
PM – Shooting, Archery & Trampolines (Included*)
Head back to the lakeside and test your aim with (free) access to Air rifle shooting and also Archery and the incredible full size trampolines near Tignes’ lake. All included on your Activity Pass.
Day 6
AM - Tennis (Included*)
Grab a racquet and balls from the hotel and pop over the road to the courts next to the hotel or head to one of Tignes’ many lakeside courts that sit under an impressive mountain backdrop.
PM – Ridge Walk (Included*)
Take the Toviere cable car using your free lift pass, from where you can walk along a high altitude ridge for stunning views and wildlife. Keen walkers can reach the glacier or snowline. A great adventure for all ages.
Some Alternatives...
Mountain bike the high trails (Included*)
Use your free bike hire for resort level trail riding or the off-road Green trails using the Pallafour chair lift. Upgrade to a full suspension bike (£42/day) for an even better experience. Lift passes included with our Active Packs.
Via Ferrata or Rock Climbing (£39)
Via Ferrata are high mountain routes with fixed climbing aids: wire ropes, rungs, pegs so you can discover a wild side to the mountain. Age 8+. Or try our organised rock climbing excursion with an instructor; or just head over to the climbing walls in Tignes. Crash mats provided! Age 8+.
White Water rafting (£47)
White water rafting is an exhilarating adventure and very sociable as other hotel guests join in. Tignes’ rafting is a higher grade of rapids than normal and even more fun! Age 8+
More Alternatives...
Paragliding / Parapenting (£50).
A tandem flight with your pilot/instructor high above the Tignes Valley. Experience incredible views and the sensation of flying. Acrobatics are performed for keen passengers. Age 8+
Hike to ‘Eye of the Needle’ (Included*)
Hike to the naturally formed ‘eye of the needle’ for stunning views. Use your (free) lift pass to go half way up, then the rest is up to you!
Please note:
These itineraries are a guide. Many of the resort-based activities like ice skating, paddle boarding, tennis etc are self-serve which means you travel to (e.g.) the nearby lake r leisure centre and organise in your own time. You may need to wait for sessions in busy periods. Our Active Reps are on hand for advice.
For organised group activities, (like white water rafting and guided walks), your Active Reps will organise travel and meeting points when you arrive in resort. Session times may change. The bike rides and walking suggestions are self-guided. We provide Route Cards and maps, so you can find your own way around marked trails and the lift system.
