We offer a free lift pass with all our holidays and route cards and maps to help you find the best trails. We even include a professionally guided walk (or a hike for the more adventurous) which runs for half-a-day in sociable walking groups, to help you make the most of the area.
We include a free guided walk with all our Morzine, Les Gets and Val D’Isere holidays using a professional mountain guide. It’s a great introduction to the local area and your guide will help you discover the region, taking you to high vantage points and showing you incredible vistas and an array of wildlife along the way.
Our sociable walking groups offer walks for all abilities: high routes for the keen hikers and easy routes for the not-so-adventurous and family walkers. You’ll get to use your (free) lift pass and cover many miles of stunning alpine terrain and learn a little more about the area from your guide.
Each of our resorts offers a network of spectacular walking and hiking trails, almost too numerous to count. They are all linked together by a lift system to enable walkers to reach high vantage points and cover many miles of terrain, with ease.
These alpine regions teem with wildlife and are dotted with pine forest, lakes and waterfalls and (the bit we like!) excellent mountain restaurants serving delicious home-cooked food for a lunchtime pitstop.
We include a free lift pass with all our holidays to allow you to use a multitude of cable cars and chair-lifts all week. Our route cards and walking suggestions offer exciting itineraries with activities to break up the day. During your walk, you can try anything from kayaking and paddleboarding, to goat herding and even flying the world’s longest zip wire.
Nordic walking is an enhancement of normal walking, where poles are used to propel the walker along and to work the upper body. So why not grab a pair of Nordic poles - which are available in all our hotels - and explore the mountain at a faster and safer pace.
For a unique experience in Val D'Isère and Tignes, try a walk to the snowline and even take crampons to explore a little further.
In Val D’Isere we love the Refuge walk for lunch (1hr 20mins). The Refuge is a small mountain restaurant which our Active Reps can help you book in advance. After lunch, return back down, or, if you’re keen, continue up to the snow line (1 hr 30 mins). Stunning views guaranteed!
In Tignes, you can walk to the base of the glacier from Val Claret in 1 hr 30 mins. Or take the funicular railway for direct access to the snow at 3,100m. Hire some crampons or snowshoes (we can help you with that) so you can walk around the snow at the top.
Our Holidays come with more free-and-inclusive activities than you can shake a kayak paddle at! What’s more – we’ve picked the best ones and packaged them up in our Active Pack - which is a free package of activities (worth up to £355) offered to all guests staying in our chalets and hotels
If you have any energy left, you can try additional activities in resort and our Active reps will help you organise them for a small additional cost. The most popular add-on activities are Canyoning, Via Ferrata, Horse Riding and Parapenting.
