The buzz of the take-off, the rush of the wind, the silence, and the immense space around you! Pinpoint the landing site and watch it grow as you descend to terra firma once again.
Parapenting is a truly awesome experience and suits all tastes and ages 13-14+. There is no special skill or fitness required, just a penchant for being wow-ed and exhilarated by natural flight.
Parapenters’ love the sensation of taking off and then gliding high above the valley floor. If you choose, the instructor may perform basic acrobatics to liven up the sensation!
You will be taken up to a start point by minibus with the flight school, and your instructor will then prepare the parachute or wing for take-off. You and your Pilot will start off by slowly running along a meadow for take-off, which has a relatively gentle descent into the valley below to get airborne.
For the more adventurous passenger, your pilot may show you basic aerobatics like stalls and spins which are superb fun! All flights last for about 20 mins and you can pay a little extra to get an extended flight of around 30 mins.
If you like the idea of learning to fly a Parapente yourself and you want to focus on a particular skill during your week away with us, then why not try a 3 day or 5-day course to help you on your way to getting a pilot’s licence.
Three-day courses are from €350 and will include preparation, safety and take offs with your first solo flight. This is stage one of a two-step process to getting qualified.
