Experience the sensation of riding a well sorted and high-end ‘full suspension’ bike to get the most out of the trails, which for an additional upgrade cost will maximise the fun factor. The downhill courses are open to those with at least some off-road trail riding experience and require full suspension bikes to soak up the bumps deal with terrain. The right bike will heighten the sensation and push your abilities.
If you’ve ever fancied the rush of riding a full suspension bike on REAL mountain terrain, then let us help you get started this summer! Our Introduction to Mountain Biking Using the Lifts lesson (€35) is ideal if you are new to the Alps but have some trail riding experience. This taster session will set you up for a week of spectacular riding.
Try any number of specially made Freeride and Downhill courses of varying difficulty: from Green and Blue to Red and Black. Do heed the signposts and pick the trail that suits your ability, and remember that all lift-assisted trails (Green to Black) suit more confident riders. We recommended renting a full suspension bike to make the most out of the terrain.
Novice riders will be able to cut their teeth on some of the easier Green trails around Morzine and Les Gets, and more experienced riders will be able to tackle the Blues, Reds and Blacks. The riding in Tignes and Val D’Isere is more limited inexperienced riders, but intermediates and up will find lots to ride.
Whether you are a novice rider or seasoned expert - our hand-picked resorts each offer a suitable experience with a bike lift system, world-class bike facilities and hundreds of miles of tracks and trails.
Val d’Isere and Tignes have the benefit of a FREE lift pass for bikers with our Activity Pass, (included with all holidays). The trails here are more limited for novice riders, so if you’re new to the sport then we’d recommend Morzine and Les Gets where lift passes start at £4 per uplift or £100 for a week’s pass.
All our resorts offer a huge network of Freeride and Cross-country Singletrack trails through the stunning alpine terrain. Expect a large variety of Downhill courses with their bumps, berms, banked corners and jumps; and Northshore style riding areas with crazy airbags and bike parks aplenty.
