Check out our new mountain bike and cycle programme for 2019! The Alps were made for biking and we love introducing all our guests to two-wheeled adventures in the Alps: from family riders to adrenaline thrill seekers. Come and find out what all the fuss is about and sample the incredible tracks and trails - whether up high or down on the valley floor - and why not try your hand at the world of Downhill biking? Whatever your level, we’ve got it covered!
One thing you’ll need is a good quality, well-sorted bike to ride when holidaying in the Alps and this is the reason we put a lot of care and attention into our bike fleet. Hire bikes come included (for free) with your holiday. So grab one from our racks and go for an adventure. They’re perfect for valley floor trail riding, resort-level rides and some lift assisted Green trails of the ‘not-so-steep’ variety.
If biking is a big part of your holiday and you want to use the high altitude, lift assisted trails then we’d always recommend you to rent a full suspension bike to get the most out of the area.
Full suspension ‘Pro Bikes’ are ideal for all levels, whether you’re a first timer, or an advanced rider. We have hand selected the best Pro bike hire shops in resort and the price for us is the same as the public price in resort. Please don’t leave it too late to book a bike, which you can do through our sales team online or over the phone.

Biking in the Alps is not just for the grown ups! Each of our resorts offers a plethora or fantastic family rides along tracks and trails along the valley floor, around the resort, through woodland and even some using the lifts. There’s also (free to use) pump tracks and obstacle courses for learners and children to get to know their bikes and understand basic skills.
Dads and mums will love the facilities on offer, whilst the warm weather and lift system helps to encourage young riders to learn quickly and develop their skills. After all, everyone loves riding up the ski lifts!
The best bit however is that the bike hire is inclusive with our holidays so you don't have to think about bringing or maintaining your own… our in-house mechanics will keep things rolling nicely.
At all of our main hotels (which covers chalets too) we have our own in-house mechanics to look after our hire bikes and keep things rolling nicely.
If you’re traveling to the Alps with your own bike then rest assured that we have a full repair facility to sort most things, or at least ‘route one’ access to local suppliers who can help out.
Our main workshops are equipped to solve most problems from disc brake alignments to changing bottom brackets, trashed wheels and minor frame alignments. We carry spare cassettes, pads, tyres and other essentials (subject to stock levels). Our mechanics’ advice is free, but their help on specific jobs will require an hourly rate.
All our resorts have (free) access to bike parks, pump tracks and obstacle courses. We love the pump tracks and obstacle courses at resort level, because bikers (young and old) don’t need a lift pass and can practice in a safe environment by pumping around banked corners, humps and flowing obstacles. Great for learning some new skills and good fun for kids.
Try one of the many man-made Downhill courses. Let your adrenaline surge as you swoop down banks and berms and humps following the flow of the Singletrack course down the mountain. Then get the lift back up and do it all over again! Many of the lift assisted trails are only for confident riders, but a few of the easy Greens will suit beginners. Do heed the local advice and check out the maps and signposts. All routes are well marked from Green to Black.
