You’re not just staying with us for the week (or two) - you’re here to discover the Alps and enjoy new experiences - and the Ski D’Or is the perfect base to do it, with an added dose of luxury!
Once you’re ready to head out our activity team are there to hook you up with all the fun and adventure you can handle. We offer free mountain bike hire - so you get a top-notch mountain bike to use for the week; and a free lift pass for walkers and bikers so you can use the lifts to explore hundreds of Kms of trails in this beautiful mountain region.
We’ve also upgraded our inclusive Active Packs for the Ski D’Or - so you’ve more than enough premium activities to sink your teeth into. We’ll help you get wet with our inclusive Whitewater rafting excursion (a very fun half-day out) and free sessions of stand up paddle boarding... kayaking...pedalo... and the famous ‘Acroland’, to name a few. Nothing breaks the ice with your fellow hotel guests like heading down a giant slide and straight into the lake, right?
We include a guided walk and a guided bike ride - with professional guides - run in sociable groups from the hotel; and free access to resort activities like archery, golf and tennis to name a few. We even include a free half day session on our (very high-end) electric mountain bikes so you can experience this fast growing sport. Our selection of bikes of all sizes makes it a fun activity for everyone.
Our free Active Packs will keep you busy enough, but if you’ve got any spare time, the area is also renowned for its Via Ferrata, summer skiing (the best glacier in Europe!), its horse riding, glacier walking, parapenting and much more.
About Hotel Le Ski D’Or
The Ski D’Or is a welcoming 4 star hotel in one of Tignes’ finest locations - in the heart of Val Claret - for route one access to the glacier for summer skiing and the best biking and walking trails in the area. This lovely hotel is run exclusively by us for mountain-loving Brits in the summer (and winter). It enjoys a calm but central location for the bars, shops, cafes and activities of central Tignes Val Claret which are on its doorstep.
After an unforgettable day’s biking, walking or enjoying the multitude of free-and-inclusive mountain or lake activities, there’s nothing better than to head back to the comforts of our hotel bar and comfy lounge for afternoon tea and cakes to enjoy the evening sun. Head out to the sun terrace (the views of the Grande Motte are incredible), or take a dip in our hot tub and recuperate yourself in our steam room and sauna. Take it slow for a while. You’ve earned it.
If you’ve children who want to blow off some steam then our inclusive Active Kids Club is right at hand, and we also have our in-house bike workshop and mechanics should you need them.
